The Arizona Environmental Strategic Alliance and the Maricopa County Air Quality Department co-hosted the 5th consecutive annual one-day Air Quality Permit Compliance Assistance Seminar on September 28th, 2017, at the Maricopa County Security Building in Phoenix, AZ. Over 130 registered attendees, representing 76 organizations, from at least 4 counties, participated in the one-day seminar.
Attendees heard presentations on a wide range of air quality topics, including: Current Air Quality Status, presented by Phil McNeely, MCAQD Director; "Planning: Rule Updates", presented by Hether Krause, MCAQD; "Permitting", presented by Richard Sumner, MCAQD; "Phoenix 2050 Environmental Sustainability Goals", presented by Rosanne Albright and Job Gibbs, City of Phoenix; "Emissions Bank/Reduction Credits", presented by Hanna Valenzuela, MCAQD; "New Equipment Considerations", presented by Robert Mills, PING; "Performance Testing", presented by Quyen Nguyen, MCAQD; "Management of Change", presented by Paul Holzman, Honeywell Aerospace; "Science of Air Quality", presented by Dr. Ron Pope/Ira Domsky, MCAQD; "Managing Compliance at a Title V Site", Craig McCurry/Geetha Shankar, Intel; "Business Assistance and Outreach", presented by Scott Tallini/Stephanie Whitney, MCAQD; "Compliance/Enforcement", presented by Kimberly Butler, MCAQD; and a "Final Q&A Panel", with MCAQD Director and Division Managers; and "Closing Remarks", presented by Dr. Nick Hild, ASU.
